Copyediting
Copyediting eliminates content and style errors in text that has not yet been formatted for printing. We’ll address flaws in word usage, spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation as well as redundancies and flow. Attention is given to clarity and logic, which may include querying of awkward sentences and other problems, removal of unnecessary words or phrases, and cross-checking of figures, tables, indices, and other elements referenced in text.
Proofreading
Documents submitted for proofreading are carefully scrutinized to eliminate inconsistencies or errors in spelling, grammar/word usage, capitalization, punctuation, and formatting.
Technical Editing
Technical editing involves restructuring awkward sentences and paragraphs to produce a clear, concise, accurate document. Suggestions are made to improve the organization and flow of your document while ensuring the use of correct and appropriate technical jargon and information.
Information Design
Information design involves electronic publishing, document conversions (Word <-> WordPerfect <-> Works <-> PDF <-> Excel <-> HTML <-> XML), fillable form/template design, and style marking. We can recreate a printed, Word or PDF document into a perfectly formatted fillable form (one of our most popular requests!) and make your life so much easier!
